Anybody else have a clear slime in their saltwater holding bin? Cleaned it with bleach last week. Have some residual salt water in there and still has slime on the vinyl hose I keep in there. Pump has some slime too.

A lot of people have issues with this in their salt bins. Is it a grey brute can?
Only way around it is to clean it from time to time with a bleach solution, followed by a vinegar solution.
I wiped my brute out with a vinegar soaked paper towel because i started getting small black spots of mildew after a few weeks in a warm garage. But from just an RO holding brute can.

Mine is a grey brute can yes.

there’s about 10 gallons at the bottom that I plan on using for a water change tomorrow ( I will make another 20 gallons or so in the same container).

I am assuming this water is safe to use right?

I think so, yes.
I wouldnt have a problem using it :)

Fwiw i think its the same as dinos growing from some frag racks in our systems, as soon as the food source stops leaching, the bio growth will stop.

Makes sense. I also have a small UV sterilizer running in there. No help on what’s actually on hard surfaces. I’m sure the water column is sterile though :)
