When I take buckets out of my tank to drop the salinity level can I test it right away or do you have to wait a day before you test it? The salinity in my tank is way too high it's like a 5.4 and I'm trying to get it to the threes but I'd like to do it in one day. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Just add ro... salinity swings shouldn't matter unless there's fish or corals already

I'm starting a new tank I don't have any fish in there or any of the bacteria really to hold the fish but on my start I put too much salt in there once I get it to the level that I need I could put wrasses in there to do the rest.

Yes remove sw from the tank and add fresh.

I'd say give it 5 or 10mins between testing. More flow will mix it better.
