Saltwater issue

Salinity was 1.023 little low added my new refugium and media filter to the back of my 32 gal bc today. Added some live sand that algae mass with copepods. Now my salinity is 1.019,now.any ideas why this happened?

Floating salinity hydrometers are not recommended due to being inaccurate (for a number of reasons, including user error). Refractometers are much more accurate. You can pick one up on Amazon for ~$18 + tax. Be sure to get some calibration fluid with the refractometer too.
 
Ok ill take that into consideration. I figured it out my bf had me replace the live rock in the back with smaller pieces from his old tank. It wasn't cured which I never thought about. The old was placed in a bucket with water changed water so I switched it back. Dumb
