Hey guys? How long can mixed saltwater be stored without circulation???

I mixed up 100g of reef crystals and it was circulated for about a week. My pump went out on me and now it's been sitting for a few days... ugh

I'd hate to waste 100g of saltwater.

Thanks in advance

As long as it's sealed to keep air out, it should last weeks.

It has a lid but it's not sealed...
Water is clear though and the salinity is right.

It need not be sealed. Normal salt mix water is fine unheated and unstirred for weeks to months (forever, basically).

Mixes that have organics in them (e.g., vitamins), however, should be stirred, and if you want any benefit from the organics, should be used soon. Bacteria will consume the organics,a nd could maybe the water anaerobic if it isn't stirred.

Woohoo! Thanks Randy!
