I was just wondering ir anyone has tried this ive seen one at a Pet Store and it was awsomepp

The 2 big problems or concerns depending on your location are temp control and Salinity control because of rainfall and evaporation. These items are much harder to control outside (at least where I live in the Midwest), and your typical saltwater critters can't handle the temp extremes that freshwater pond Koi or goldfish can handle.

However, If you do this I cant wait to follow along and see the progress! Best of luck to you!

Assuming you are thinking an outside pond. Inside.. no problem.

My friend owns castille coral ranch (I think) and his operation is outside. You will have to cover it (probably) but it is do able.

I know the old adage of "pics or it didn't happen" but I've helped convert a few pools to both tropical freshwater (usually Amazonian biotopes) and one to a ray/shark pond. The temperate relatively stable weather here in SoCal made it pretty easy. I plan on digging out a 5,000 gallon pond at my new home (not huge by pond standards) and as much as I appreciate koi, I definitely want to go another route be it larger catfish or a marine system. Having said that my preference would be for a green house, but I don't have real-estate to put one up in the duplex I own. Even though I'm a professional/career aquarist, the dogs having their space comes first lol.

We used to have a LFS that did this for a while. It was cool but you couldn't view the fish very well. IMO, Koi look better from the top down.
