Saltwater question

so about a week ago i tore down a 90g reef tank and sold it but kept the water from it in hopes of setting up a smaller 35g so i would like to know if its worth using the old water or is it even stoll beneficial since its been in blue containers in my garage without light

its just dirty water, throw it out. All the beneficial bacteria reside in rock, sand and pipes.
