Hello!
I know this is not the proper forum, but I just want to know if anyone has ever done this or can give me any ideas.
I had saltwater carib sea sand, after I tank down my tank I left my sand outside for few months. I want to start African Cichlid tank and wants to know if I can re-use the sand for African Cichlid, and what would be the proper steps. How thoroughly I have to wash the sand, will it effect the PH.
Thank you.

Back in the day ;Oldman

We used crushed coral substrate for African Cichlid's.
It buffers the ph for them and a lot easier to keep clean, that a fine sand bed.
