Hey guys I have a 125 fish tank in the proses and I just bought figi rock about 60 pounds and
the fish guy tells me that i should take it out of the tank because it has a monu and he said it may take
2 mouths to cure so should I take it out help:wink::squigglemouth::squigglemouth:squigglemouth::neutral::nerd:

If the rock is "live" and has been established, it's already cured. If it's "live" and hasn't been established, meaning there's been die off in it's recent past, it may need to be cycled first. Testing for Ammonia, nitrates and nitrites will give you an indication of it's cycled or non cycled state.

As long as there is no other life in the tank, cycling rock in the tank is a good way to go. For me there was still plenty of research into livestock and additional equipment installations so the cycle time went by quickly. I also learned patience, which I need a lot of in this hobby.

Wait until you are cycled before adding any cleaning crew, though. But 125 for a cleaner crew is way too high. And depending on what you plan on having in the tank as far as coral, do some research on shrimp and crabs first. While I have never experienced it, others have had issues with them eating LPS corals. Welcome to the addiction!

hey guys i was wondering what fish eat coral because i was wondering what fish i should get:nerd:
There's no simple answer to that question. There are reef safe fish and there are those that may nip and those that definitely will. You need to carefully research fish and see if it is compatible with your other inhabitants.
