SaltwaterandLime's epic adhd build thread....

During the graduation party, my mother threw garbage into my saltwater bin and then had the audacity to act like I was the crazy one for having garbage cans in my kitchen that aren't used for garbage ..... but I mean... where else am I supposed to mix water?

The nerve ;)

Emptied out the peninsula tank and gave it a good cleaning. Managed to stab myself with an urchin that I didn't even know we had! It had been living in the back chambers of the AIO doing its own thing I guess! It's now hanging out in the sump of the RedSea tank but I'll probably move it back into the peninsula after the reboot.

I hope he is OK though because when I reached into the back chamber and stabbed myself I yanked my hand out fast and he fell onto the floor beside the tank.

Austin wanted to rush me to the emergency room cause he thought I was going to die. (I promise I'm fine).

I set up a temporary tank to hold the fish and soft coral from that tank until I figure out what I'm going to do with it.

Road trip today to Tampa to pick up live rock and sand from @LiverockRocks (Tampa Bay Saltwater)

We also went to an anime store and also visited The Coral Corral for the first time which is a really awesome store tucked away in a warehouse that looks like nothing from the outside but is absolutely huge inside with really great selection and prices.

I picked up three little LPS frags today but we will definitely be going back once the tanks are farther along.

Jealous wish I could drive to get really nice live rock.

There is already just so much LIFE in this tank already.....so awesome to see. I can't wait to watch everything settle in and grow.

More pictures after the water clears up!

Austin is slightly bothered by the fact that my temporary tank full of all the things I don't know what to do with is looking better than all my other tanks combined right now..

I may just need to order some of that. So neat looking rock.

My ReefMat stopped working yesterday. Less than 24 hours after submitting a help ticket with RedSea they are shipping me a new motor. Very happy with their customer service.

Struggling to decide if I'm doing something wrong... or if life is just finicky.

I have some frags that are doing amazing and have already started to encrust their bases within a few weeks of being in my tank, and other frags that I'm pretty sure are on their way out.

I am seriously considering getting a pistol shrimp buddy for frank

I moved a few frags out of the holding tank and into the anemone tank for now. Not sure if they are going to stay here or move into the big tank

A few days ago I set up a system for getting some outside air to my tank. So far seeing a slight trend upwards in the pH. My nano tank runs at about 8.1-8.2 so I would really like to see the big tank get there eventually also

The peninsula tank is looking good after the rescape and tank transfer additions from the holding tank yesterday. Frank has already claimed his cave, thankfully he picked a spot where I can see him

Frank is without a doubt my favorite fish, and I've had him forever (yes, he's little, I swear I got him at like, larva stage........ ok, maybe not that small)

Worked on the 10g anemone tank today. I've been doing twice a week small water changes in order to siphon algae off the sand.

I feel like maybe the nem is asking for more light. It's gotten so much bigger, but it keeps reaching up really high towards the surface, and once even climbed up the back wall of the tank to the top.

But I'm worried about turning up the light since I'm struggling with algae.

Omg it looks amazing and fits perfectly. Came in almost exactly their predicted time frame from when I ordered as well!

Looking good!

Decided to start dosing a half strength solution of kalkwasser during the night to try to get my pH up. Right now I'm fluctuating between 7.7-7.9 each day, but I haven't really needed to add alkalinity so I don't want to move too fast.
