Salvaging An Anemone

Hey guys!
I bought a cream rose bubble tip anemone a little while back and I’m struggling with it. I bought it, put it in my tank, made sure to spot feed. Yet, within a week (5-7 days tops), my anemone lost it’s light pink tips and has shriveled some. It appears to be bleached, but, it’s still alive. I’ve been feeding it Kent MicroVert for the past two weeks and haven’t seen any notable progress. I’m not expecting a magical change over night, but, it would be great to see any improvement. What can I do to recover it’s color and health? Is there a way to quicken the recovery? Also, is it normal for an anemone to bleach so quickly? Any advice?

He looks okay to me. As long as he is not deflated. You said he was bleaching? BTA's hate high levels of N03.

true and untrue about high NO3.....depends what you mean by high. I've seen beautiful healthy btas kept in 30-50ppm NO3.

The mouth doesnt seem to be gaping which is a good sign. I've had a bta do what yours looks to be doing. Bleached and shortened tenticles. I nursed mine back to full health by feeding it small diced pieces of shrimp every other day or as it would take the pieces. It took at least 4 months to really start to color up again.

My nitrate is never over 10ppm and is usually at a 5ppm. It’s only a 10 gallon nano tank so I stay on top of my water changes/parameters.

The bubble tip doesn’t look good at all. Completely bleached and has a few tentacles left.

I had issues with my RBT, i started feeding it small piece of prawn or shrimp twice a week, the improvement was noticeable very quickly,

How old is this tank?? Your recent thread stated you were new to owning a tank but worked with SW daily.....
Nems really need a mature tank with stable parameters.

That kent food is mostly phyto for filter feeders if I'm not mistaken.... I'd try feeding your nem some solid food.
Try chunks of shrimp, mysis, or any frozen food will do really. Even pellets if you can get it to eat them.
As long as their tentacles are sticky and can grab onto food, you can feed them solid meaty food.
