I have this purple hammer which I've had for several years, high up in the tank, but usually crowded by other fast growers. I had the opportunity to bust it apart three weeks ago and moved one colony down, the one on the left, which has always been the original color.

The right colony I moved down yesterday and was probably receiving more light than the left half. It also has been displaying the bright green splatter tips for about a year. These heads all have a greenish cast on their tentacles which the left does not.

Right now they look like two different corals.

How's the flow? In addition to lower light, hammer's don't like too much flow.
