Have seen several different recommendations for placement of the samoensis ...... and wondering who has them and where they have had best success? By it's appearance I would want to say high light and high flow .... have just got one that is about glow in the dark and would like to do everything possible to keep it's color!

ULN and very high light IME. I had a purple colony maintain great color for 3 years before breaking down my tank.

Thanks!! After a bit of acclimation, at the top of the tank it goes!

Hight light (20Kk spectrum) and strong random water flow coupled with very low nutrient water to maintain the colour.

They will brown out quickly if there is even a slight nutrient increase.

It is under a 400w radium and strong alternating flow ..... undetectable phosphate and nitrate of less than 1 ...... fingers crossed it will keep color. I already moved it high in the tank since I'm acclimating tank to the new halides anyway and only running them currently at 4 hours/day. Thanks for the input!
