Hiya everyone! My first ever SW Tank! Ah! :D I've wanted one for years and finally able to do it, so exciting! We started buying everything about a month ago, actually the tank itself was a birthday present from my hubby! ;SmugStarted off slow, lots and lots of research and reading. Buying a few pieces of equipment each week, until finally I had everything and could start adding water. I've made some rookie mistakes along the way, but that's ok.... Learning process...goal in Life: "Learn Something New Everyday" A little over a month in and I've got my LR in my tank. Still not happy with the aquascaping yet... It's a work in progress. I've only moved it 3 times, maybe another 13 times and I'll get it just right lol. :p Still have some work ahead of me, but looking forward to the future endeavors. Can't wait to see where this tank is a year from now! I'll keep the thread updated as I go.

Anyway, thanks for reading! I'm open to comments, suggestions, and constructive criticism.

So...screwed up the thread name! Lol! Is it possible to change that?

So, it's been a month, but there wasn't a whole lot going on...
I finally got a decent aquascape! And now my tank has cycled! Did a 30% water change and I now have an orchid dottyback and an emerald crab in there.
I also found some (what I believe to be) good info for making my canister filter work better. I'm going to be changing the media thats in there. Getting rid of the carbon and the ceramic media that came with the filter and putting in sintered glass biohome filter media. Also going to add fluval pre filter media in the very bottom below the bottom tray. And going to exchange one of the coarse foam pads out for a medium and fine foam pad. Along with regular weekly cleanings/maintenance I'm hoping this will make my canister filter work very well.
I also got my RO/DI water system set up today! Clean water for my fishies!
