San or no sand

It’s tough to say honestly. I love sad wrasses and the inverts that love/thrive in sand beds. But flow can be a pain with it. My first time around I was using oolite and hated it, now I’m using little bigger sand size and am having less issues. In the end... I vote sad

If sand then how deep?
Think it depends on how much flow you are shooting for and if you think it will be a struggle to keep sand from shifting all the time. Easier to keep detritus off bottom without sand. Personal preference, I like the way a thin layer of sand looks, plus the added organisms and fish that enjoy a sand bed. Did a deep sand bed years ago on first tank and was hard to control nitrates. Of course probably had many other issues with that tank.

Thanks for the input now any suggestions on light for 36in wide tank?

Reefbreeders photon 32 V2+ or Photon 24 V2+, but I would probably recommend the 32. Also, look into T5 hybrid systems like the Aquatic life T5 hybrid if money isn't an issue.
