I was cleaning my sand bed and a huge chunk of sand fell out of my vacuum into the mouth of my welso. I tried to get most of it out using me turkey baster. Anything else I can do for it? Will he be fine if I leave him alone to get rid of the sand himself?

they w be ok there are mechanisms that handle that just fine. polyps do all kinds of contortions/ inflations expansions over a day's time for food acquisition and surface regulation for sure. getting out from under a temporary sand insult is part and parcel for corals in most settings if they're not totally buried. tongue corals and open brains being among the best at sand regulation off the polyp given some time.

Thank you, he seems to have 90% of it out already.
