hey guys so i have a 10gallon fish tank saltwater and have about 2 inch sand bed have 10 pounds of live rock in the middle and a 240gph wave Maker
With a 20g hang on the back filter one of those bio ball things
My water is 0 ammonia
20 nitrate
0 nitrite
Ph 8.0ish
I usually do week water changes wash told not to vacuum the sand bed

My stock is
Watchman goby
Emerald crab
3 narassus snails
2 margarita snails
3 astera snails
4 hermits

Usually i feed crab pellets or mini pellets and my sand bed is covered with poop i usually take my wave maker off and try to blow it to the filter

Also i removed the carbine pad and sponge from my filter cause i couldn’t fit the bag of Purigen said it would help a lot doubt it but i gave it a go lol can’t anyone help me out and tell me what i gotta do to clean this dang sand

Try repositioning your powerhead to eliminate dead spots. Having the tank circulate well will have the detritus get stuck in the filter rather than sandbed. However as far as clean up crew for that is concerned, I would keep your 3 nass snails and add 3 cerith snails and a strawberry conch. Should help keep it mixed good.

vacuum the top layer of the sand bed but do not try to go into the sand too deep. I also use a turkey baster and just blow the top layer of sand around right before a water change to make the sand look better.

See if you can get hold of some dove snails, very small, breed like crazy and live in the sand.
