Sand bed has some green and red all mixed in there. Before it becomes a Christmas themed sandbed
It is mostly toward front
some Questions

1 normal?
2 problem?
3 if not normal what does it indicate
4 if it is a problem do I need more sand stirring things... I have snails in there that burrow I forget the variety name.

I used to use a spackle knife or spatula to remove the color along the front glass without disturbing the sand bed

Just curious how this indicates a healthy sandbed? I have the same discoloration in my sand some looks like cyano red, some just light brown, etc...

Diversity of healthy bacteria shows green n red coloration

black is no good

just algae, its fine. most Ceriths are small, so maybe get something bigger if you wanna turn over the sandbed more, like a stocky cerith or two, those guys are amazing.
