My sand keeps blowing out of this corner from my gyre pump, i run it at 10% and 30% which moving my sand. any more the sand goes crazy but any less the corals are not happy. i keep raking it back but in 1-2 days its piled up again. any ideas to help fix this?
-i tried adding that rock in the pic that kinda helped
-thought about adding more sand that would be bigger grain or crushed coral
-add more rock and or rubble in the area on top of the sand to hold it in place, not sure how that would affect flow and moving waste and nutrients

I had a similar issue with my MP40s. I added a course heavier aragonite substrate to that area only so it didn't get blown around. its worked well. The only issue is it builds algae and coralline similar to the rocks.

sweet, do u have a pic? i was wondering how the larger grain would "mesh" with the smaller grain

Yea here are some pics. I took them real quick, but I can take better ones tomorrow. You really don't notice at all. I will check exactly what I bought since I still have a bag of it in my basement. The normal substrate I was using was the Carib sea pink Fiji.

Two gyres or one?
Gyres can throw a lot of water so it’s helpful if they are opposite each other t break up the flow.

This is what I used. I doesn't blow around at all. I added it to areas where my power heads were blowing the sand around.
