Sand cleaning

I have a 5 gallon nano tank and I just recently bought snails and hermit crabs for my tank and I looked at the Sand and it was dirty from small fish poop, what can I do about it ?

What kind of snails did you purchase?

You can siphon it out, but not sure what the nano guys use? There's some pretty small "vacuums" available that would probably work. The snails may help some

Cerith and Nassarius snails work the sand bed cleaning food, detris. For a mature tank of that size you would need 10 and 2 respectively to take care of the sand bed.
