I have a pintail wrasee in my bare bottom tank. Does anyone use a container to hold sand for their wrasse to sleep in? I know it should be tall enough so the sand doesnt all spill in the rest of the tank.
TIA

It seems jut adding sand would be a lot more aesthetic than a big container with enough sand for a wrasse and tall enough to keep sand from going over the sides. Besides, there's a lot of beneficial biology in sand.

you are probably right. I just hate all the detritus/silt it collects even when I try to keep it clean.

Go to walmart, buy a cheap set of rubbermaid containers. Instead of spaghetti-o’s, add sand and place in tank.

My tank is bare bottom and I’ve kept many wrasses this way since the 90s.

Put a container in a back corner behind some rocks.
My tank is too small for a decent sized one behind rocks. And id like to see the fish pop out and in lol. My tank is a 65. Ill uosoze again someday.
