Sand in the sump

I just moved everything from one tank to a new one n there's sand in the sump should I clean it out. The tank isn't really clear yet

I personally would prefer that there not be sand in my sump. I like it to try and keep my sump's floor clean and free of any buildup. That being said you aren't going to hurt anything by having sand in your sump.
