My vacuum sucked up sand, and I had the hose going into the filter media in my sump. The question is will the sand be ok in my sump in/on or around my skimmer? Or should I remove it?

I got an accumulation over time. Probably from wrasses always kicking up sand plumes when going in sand at night. I just leave it
