I’ve had my 2 clowns in QT for over 2 weeks now. They’ve been eating GC medicated frozen like pigs and generally looked great.

this morning I saw some spots on them.

I have some marine pure chunks in the QT and it disintegrates, sending small particles out. They sleep tucked between the PVC and bare bottom so it’s possible it’s marine pure flakes... or maybe that’s wishful thinking.

again, they were 100% fine last night and all this showed up this morning :(

gonna buy copper power on my way home Just in case.

That looks like ich to me. It is possible for the grains to stick to the fish, but I highly doubt there would be that many grains stuck to the fish for an extended period of time.

Ya, I agree. Just wishful thinking or in denial.
In a case like this should I do a fresh water dip before adding copper?

also with the copper would I just go to the full therapeutic level or ramp it up slowly?

@HotRocks any input on this would be much appreciated.

Hopefully I can find a place near my office that has copper power otherwise I’ll just pick some up on my way home.

I always ramp it up over a couple of days as a precaution, clownfish are very hardy but I don't like taking chances.

Ramp up split doses am/pm of you can over 3-4 days is best. Good luck!
