So I added sand to my 100 gallon tank and it is getting blown all over the place, I only have my Jabao RW-15 pump set at 1, any idea on how to prevent this with out taking the sand out and starting over with a heavier sand? I do not have any of coral in yet and I am not sure if that will help brake up the flow. If I point the pump up it pushes the water over the top of the rimless tank. Any ideas welcome.

Aim it towards the glass so it bounces off the glass. Can't you lower those alot more than the wps. Depending on the type of sand you may always have the issue. What are the dimensions of the tank and what sand did you use

I used the argi alive .25-5mm black sand and if I point the powerhead at the glass the water pushes up over the edge. I am going to try and siphon out the lighter sand with a gravel cleaner, then back fill with a larger diameter sand. Are there any grades in blank sand that anyone has used that that are larger?

A variable power supply will slow the pump down even more if you need lower flow

you could always try n find a bit of bigger sand to lay on top and "weigh down" the smaller stuff, you may still have to battle it for a while but once everything finds its place youll be okay, the bright side is you could do that with no regrets if your tank isnt fully stocked yet
