1) I’m working on a mixed reef is this sand going to be heavy enough that it’s not going to get blown around?

2) Would this sand be ok for a goby?

Yes, the sand will work fine....whether or not it gets blown around depends entirely on the strength of your powerheads and their placement.
 
I plan to run two gyre pumps. Those things are made to sit at the top of the tank.
 
We know that they are gyre's. What model and what are the dimensions of your tank? Rock can be used as a buffer if they are too strong.
 
What ever a standard 75 is. The gyres are XF250s dialed back. Good point about the rock.
