Official Sand Rinse and Tank Transfer thread
If you are reading this thread to cure a tank invasion from a link I sent you, we do not need to identify your type of invasion here we do not need you to test anything at anytime regarding nitrate, phosphate etc Above all, we do not need to see a microscope slide picture of your invasion at...www.reef2reef.com

@brandon429 - Setting up a new 100-gallon tank. Using dry CaribSea aragoniteHey what’s the job at hand curious, big vs small job?

I definitely plan to rinse with tap water, probably using a paint stir paddle. Debating a final rinse with RO/DIquick summary: if you dont pre rinse the bagged caribsea sand, then it'll probably clear in a day or two. per page one of that thread, some dont clear, that's the choice set regarding pre rinsing. anyone who pre rinses uses up some tap water and gets an absolutely laser clear start, 100% of the time. the last two threads from non rinsers posting concern about the initial cloud cleared up in two days though, = the majority will. some bags carry more silt complement than others, don't know why. I think its shipping and holding variances that grind down the grains more than other bags, not sure
