I'm going to be odd man out here....Lieutenant tang. Yup. I went there. Not sure what is up with my Lt. Tang but he or she really likes to dig. 4 to 6" sand bed I have but every morning I'm waking up to a new mound of sand that it moved around trying to find that proper resting place. After four months of this I think we are down to about two locations that it clears out and calls home. All kidding aside I think you have plenty of good options here. Just remember that some of the sifters are sifting for food. So with that it means it will be depleted at some point in time unless it can populate faster at which it can consume. Add more people eating it means quicker time to bingo fuel.

That and of course the possibility of corals getting bathed in sand :) Your mileage may vary of course but something to keep in mind.

Let me take a moment to complain about the QP16 from china. About 5 months ago i purchased two of these pumps from my LFS at $130.00 each. The very night i got them home and hooked them up following the instructions provided the double sticky tape fell and one of my controllers fell into water and shorted out. I went to my LFS and talked to the owners they replaced pump. Fast forward now the pump just stops working , I have to unplug it and only then it goes on for a couple hours and again I have to unplug it then it will run. I have no way to return it or get a credit. It's just garbage, now I have to run out and get two new pumps for my 180. Don't buy the QP 16!!!!!
