Sand sifting goby in a QT

So my question is how do you guys at the sand sifting goby? Add sand to at. Or can it be done bare bottom?

I quarantined sand less, Just make sure you have a super secure top. They will try their best to jump out..... Especially when they are new and all stressed out.

Mind you, Ive never had one but I would assume if you wanted you can put a small tupperware container in there for him.

This is what most would recommend. Just a small container with sand in it to make him more comfortable.
