Thinking about adding a sand sifting starfish to get the sand bed cleaned up after a gold head goby disaster lol. Only prob is that the sand bed is quite a small area for it to cruise around... Would it be conservative to go with some nassarius or a conch snail instead of the star?

I considered the stars myself but most of the sand sifting stars get pretty big. So I have about a dozen nassarius. Its fun to watch them pop-up at feeding time to grab any scraps that hit the sand.

Unless your tank is quite large and your sand bed is mature, it will most likely starve to death. They don't fair well in most tanks. Go with Nassarius Snails/Conch.
