Is Carib seas sugar size oolite sand to fine to be in a 70 gallon running 2 MP40 QD's?

Is Carib seas sugar size oolite sand to fine to be in a 70 gallon running 2 MP40 QD's?

I used to used the sugar fine sand and I had problems in my 225 with an MP60 and an MP40. Once the sand settles, they won't cloud the tank, but I got bare spots in my tank no matter what I did.

I always use the special grade sand.
