I recently got a wrasse that sleeps in the sand bed.

All the diving in and out of the sand stirs up huge clouds of sediment, and it seems to clog up my filter floss in a matter of hours.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

If there is that much fine particulate I'm the sand, I'd vacuum some out every water change personally. I know many don't like touching their sand beds though.

I do actually regularly vacuum the sand bed. I think part of the issue is that they can get into areas of the sand bed my hose can’t reach.

Think it will clear up on its own as it all gets stirred up, and filtered out?

Yes

Well that’s good. Thanks.

It’s crazy how much I pull out when vacuuming, though. Clouds every time. Why do you think that keeps recurring, but this would be different?
