I am starting a Red Sea 450 build and trying to figure out live sand options. I do have a watchman goby who likes to build his sand pile. I don’t currently have live sand in my tank I just have fine grain substrate so looking to upgrade! Thoughts? Opinions?

Thanks for reading! Happy reefing!

Definitely worth the cost. A lot of people run Carib sea Fiji pink. That’s what I have in all my tanks. It’s corse enough to not cause sandstorms but fine enough for sand sifters.

I really like Tropic Eden ReefFlakes -- This is a beautiful white sand. You shouldn't have any problems with a goby in it...my Diamond goby has no problems with it. I initially mixed ReefFlakes size with Mesoflakes...the mesoflakes is smaller and seems to be pulled out when I vacuum the sand.
