I can't stand the look of BB. Random bits of stuff makes it look unsightly. Plus, it just reminds me of working in a pet store.

If I missed the sand bed, I just take a look from the top of my tank. The 'virtual live sand' would fool my brain for a short while.

That's pretty cool. I made something similar for my African Clawed Frogs when I had them. I used gravel and resin.
