I am on a 76 day fallow period to rid my tank of ich once and for all. I had a lot of fish die :( so it has to be done. Before this, my routine was a 15% water change (5 gallons in 45 gallon tank) every other week, and I vacuum the sand bed once a month (my most hated task within the hobby!) Even though all the fish are i QT, I feed my anemone and inverts a 1/2 cube of frozen food a week, and feed the corals reef chili 2x a week. My question is, do i need to vacuum my sandbed during this fallow period, or not? I still a rookie in the hobby, so advuce is welcome. I should also state all my water parameters stay where i want them as long as I dose CA, KH, MG once a week.

I been through this ich cycle twice [emoji17]... if your considering vacuuming the gravel due to this ich no it’s not necessary, but if you want to do it for maintenance reasons then no harm done... personally I would do it, just because I would like everything to be fresh for when the fish go back in [emoji23].
