Sandsifter starfish in a 13.5 gallon?

I'd avoid the sand sifter, especially in a nano. The feed on the fauna in the sand bed, there's not enough to sustain it. Some say you can supplement feeding but I'd still advise against it. Plenty of great sand sifters like nassarius snails that will work well in your nano.

You can get some brittle stars and put in there though. You'll never see them, just their arms sticking out of the rocks. They look like sand sifters. Cute little guys. I saw one snag a mysis straight out of the water column and pull it into it's layer. Just plucked it out of thin air.. I mean water.
