Ok, the other night I decided to sanitize a few of my maintenance buckets so I ran them full of mild bleach water and let them set a couple hours. I dumped them out with the intent to rinse them but as I was impatient for the tub to drain I walked away and forgot about them until after work the next day. I rinsed them then and left them upside down to dry a couple days. Now they have a funky chemical smell. Did I ruin them or can I set them out in the sun to dissipate the chlorine? Or is there something else I can do like let them sit in water with prime or another dechlorinator? I’ve bleached buckets before but rinsed them within a half hour with no residual smells.

Tbh, most municipal water supplies have about as much chlorine as you likely used. Once the bucket is dry, it will be fine.
