Hello everyone!

Started back in February with a Fluval EVO 13.5 and absolutely loving this hobby. Wishing to get a "real" tank now. Please let me know if the build below makes sense or am I out to lunch? Want a few fish and a mix of softies and LPS.

Tank: Red Sea Reefer 200XL w/ Red Sea Mesh Cover
Lighting: AI Prime 16HD, with the Tank Mount
Return Pump: Sicce Syncra 2.0
Wavemaker: AI Nero 5
Heater: Dual Ebo Jager 150w
Skimmer: TBD or maybe just a big refugium?

Thanks!

Hi and #WelcometoR2R

Sounds like a solid plan so far. A few things to adjust. the pump will need to be beefed up.

After plumbing and head pressure the 2.0 will not have enough flow. I have been running a Maxspect jump dc 8 for a while now. I can recommend it. Price is great, powerful and quiet. The 1 Prime will light up the tank, but at the outer edges you may have some shadows and loss of par. A HD 32 my be better.

Other than that, A sump with skimmer is usually a safe bet, but that is up to you.

This might help if needed.
