Sanjay's "Pink Flasher" Porites

So this thing is very interesting.
It came to Sanjay via Kevin Kohen a few years ago, apparently with a commensal "infection" of some sort that causes it to make hot pink nodules at random. Some experts have said this is caused by trematodes, others have said that Porites can flare like this for a variety of reasons. Either way, it doesn't seem to be contagious and it looks awfully cool haha.

Wow, that's pretty neat! Is it specific to just this colony or is it something that frags and other specimens of this species will do?

He's made a couple frags of it and grown them around his tank. They all developed pink, so it seems to travel with the frags.

The red fluorescence is due to the presence of a worm (a trematode.) Refered to 'coral zits', these are quite common in Hawaiian Porites.
