Santa Monica filters aren't sized by gallons, but how much nutrient you want removed. This one will remove up to the equivalent of one frozen cube per day or around 3 grams of pellets. *Sorry op, not trying to highjack your thread...just had the same scrubber at one point

@Jsieger89 - quick question! I just bought the HOG1 on my 120 Mixed Reef tank, WHY are you selling yours if you don't mind me asking? Were you happy with the Algae is pulled out or what? Here is a pix of my set up. I bought mine brand new for 139.99 w/ Free shipping from Santa Monica!

Mine is slow to generate algae but seems to work ok
