Saron shrimp, reef safe??

I purchased a Saron shrimp from a local coral vendor last night. He kept a couple in his frag tank along with pricey frags and he assured me it was reef safe. I say all of that to ask have any of you guys had any experience them and if so what are your thoughts?

I've never owned one but some googling is getting mixed reviews on reef safe.

They aren't reef safe and eat soft coral, maybe if you keep it full it won't eat coral but from what I know they eat coral.
