What does Saturday reefing look like for you?

I typically prefer to just be lazy and sit back with a nice cup of coffee and enjoy my creation.. It’s also one of the only days my favorite LFS is open all day so I like to visit them on Saturday’s when possible.

My present situation.

Trying to balance kids, football, & tank maintenance.

This week, Saturday reefing looks like college football and barbecue (maybe a couple of cold ones). Sunday reefing will look much different!

This Saturday was a stop at Aqua SD to load up on fish food. Also grabbed a frag rack and 4 fighting conches. Then off to Scripps to get a load of water. While in La Jolla decided to swing by the fish market for some fresh blue fin steaks. Almost seems wrong tying it altogether and the phrase "fish are friends not food" has passed through my mind, but blackened tuna steaks are just too good.

Son’s soccer game. Another son’s football game. Then a peek at the tank from time to time during the Mountaineer game. Rough year but some suds make it better. Cheers to all!!

I volunteer in the aquatics section of our local Children’s Museum on Saturday’s. I’m usually so pooped from working on those huge tanks that I don’t want to do mine until Sunday. I also have 3 colleges that I follow pretty religiously for both football & basketball, so after I’m done volunteering, my saturdays largely consist of watching college sports.
