I've been keeping spider sponges in Australia for four months. On the left is mine, on the right is my friend's. We bought it at the same time, four months ago. There's something wrong with him. Send him to me. I don't know if I can succeed!

The zooanthids on your friend's are not getting enough food. Feed it the same as what you are feeding and it should recover. I also see possible algae growing on your friend's. That means that it is getting too much light. Algae prevents water movement through the sponge, starving it.
