My Tank Thread
I see many tanks who didn't dose before come out with 0 iodine on icp testing.
Some if them did just fine before dosing.
A few did indeed improve with starting to dose.
Believe iodine gets consumed very quick in tanks which causes levels to drop very quick if not maintained, this is why water changes alone won't really maintain it. Minimum amounts do get added with food but far from maintaining tanks with larger demand.
I saw 2 tanks after an overdose of iodine (no incidents here l, just levels that went too high while trying to correct low levels ) abd the effect on corals was pretty harsh.
