Hello, new to the forum,
I have a small ~ 2 in. frag of some kind of Acropora. For a while it did't get appropriate light and some parts started to die. Now it looks like the picture. The tips look OK, with nice fluorescence and extended polyps, but the dark areas in between are dead and growing algae. I was wondering if I can clip off the healthy tips and put them in new frag plugs or just leave it as is and hope it recovers. Any recommendations or suggestions? I would hate for it to completely die!

I would go ahead and clip it and glue some frags down. It may recover and eventually cover the dead areas but it will likely still be pretty funky shaped from the ordeal versus giving them a fresh start.
