I need suggestion on how to save this bleached and shrinked maxi mini anemone.
I got 2 maxi mini anemone about a year ago. Both are in the picture. In the first half year, they were doing fine and grow to similar size of 3"+. They were always staying in the sandbed, one were attached on the under of a rock under the sand, the other was attached to the bottom glass. They were in the middle of the tank. And the water flow kept blowing sands on them.
Several months ago, I was moving and rearrange the tank during that move them from the center of tank to the side of the tank, tried to have them attach on the rock away from the sand. But the now bleached one decided to move to the back of the rock, and attached to inside of a hole. It's not getting any light, and its position is impossible for me to feed it regularly. I was hoping when it starves, it will try to move out back under the light. But several later now, it was still in that dark hole.
Today I finally get a chance to take that rock out and try to get it out. I wasn't to confident that I will be able to get it out since its foot was pretty deep in the hole. But to my surprise its food was not strongly attached. Just a bit gentle push is able to get it loose. But it's now only size of a quarter, looks bleach/pale in color, and its foot is not sticky at all.
I know I can't glue its foot. I tried for an hour with all flows off but it's not seem to attaching to anything. I'm very hesitate to turn off the flow for prolong period of time just for it. Currently I just put it in a small cup and cover the cup with a net, so that it won't got blow away. But I'm not sure if that will work.
So what should I do now? Is there some good way to save it?
