So I picked up a tiny chalice frag that had been receeding at the lfs. The guy didn’t know what it was but it had the most beautiful iridescent green/blues/purples with just slight hints of orange. I had to take it home to see if I could save it.
Fast forward about 3 months. It’s not receeding anymore but I’m not getting any growth from it. I did upgrade tanks about a month ago so I’m sure there was some shock from the adjustment. I’ve been noticing it’s tiny feeding tentacles on two mouths but every time I try to feed it my pesky hermits close in. See photos attached. I’m worried the hermits are damaging it when they take the food out of its mouth.
What should I do? Should I just let it be and get some size/more heads before trying to feed it? Any thoughts on the type of chalice? The photos aren’t great as my camera tries to adjust for the blue of my lights. I’ll try to get more with a different phone camera later today.
