saving apex EL programing

Is there any way to save programing with the apex EL? On the old apex units they had config files.

anyone know how to save these files on EL?

I've tried to save that file....it says my connection is not private when i enter my user name and password after logged into apex.local. I have it as a wired connection, not wifi.
