it's been in qt since Thursday, is it possibly a brittle star?upper left flange it appears to come from under the mantle? That's the best pic I've been able to get since noticed.and if I get close..... the cam closes

It's difficult to tell if it's a tube worm or aptasia.

Hmm. I have aptasia eating peppermint shrimp in qt to take care of aptasia not sure about worms on a clam though

When the clam is closed you should be able to see the tube and probably knock it off with a fingernail.

It's an aptaisia. Remove the clam in a separate bucket of tank water and manually remove it, carefully. First pic looks like an aptaisia. Tube worm can be removed easily as salty replied.

Spaghetti worm?

Thanks for the advice I used a long thin piece of bamboo to scrape whatever it was from the clam, the shrimp immediately pounced on it & ate it. Problem gone!

It's back or maybe its cousin? Or something completely different?
