Sawtooth lighting pattern?

I was curious who is using a sawtooth lighting pattern, and what it might look like?

How long are the cycles of increasing and decreasing intensity, and by what range (I.e. 80% to 60% for 30 minutes, then 60% to 80% for 30 minutes, and so on.)

I notice popular lighting schedules utilize this method, namely David Saxby and Pirates of the Caribbean on AI. I’d like to hear any positive or negative experiences with employing such a light method.
