Well is it or isn’t it? As I normally do on WC day, I spent 10-15 minutes just taking a really close look at different areas looking for stuff that shouldn’t be there. Well this grabbed my attention today. The potential population boom of the dreaded aptasia. But I’m not certain, as they are VERY small and for not seem to be confined to a piece of LR with a Xenia frag.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It isnt. I actually think it may he some sort of hydroid. Doesnt look like a traditional aptasia.

I'd vote that it is not aptasia, but I can't identify it.

Should this piece of LR be pulled? The view on aptasia is pretty clear. Hydroids, however, are a mixed bag..... keep, don’t keep, good, bad and everything in between. As they “seem” to be isolated at the moment it wouldn’t be detrimental to my tank if I need to pull this rock.

Yeah I’m at the same conclusion after I was able to get a clearer picture.
